IRA SCHWARTZ |

Ira Schwartz was born in Brooklyn, NY. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Schwartz attended the Art Students League on the GI Bill and trained at Grand Central Art School as well as The Brooklyn Museum School. His paintings have been shown at the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, American Academy of Arts and Letters, The Butler Institute of Art and Pennsylvania State University Museum of Art. Widely exhibited in NYC throughout the sixties and seventies, his works are included in the permanent collections of the the Brooklyn Museum, David Rockefeller Collection, John Hay Whitney Collection, Faberge, Inc. and Cary Grant. An award-winning package designer, his firms created the look of products and packaging for Revlon, Faberge, Seiko, Coca-Cola, Seagram’s and Mattel. |
